Thank you for visiting my website. For three terms, I have had the honor of serving the residents of the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the West End, and Cambridge in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Currently, I am the House Chair of the Joint Committee on Education. I’ve authored the nation’s most comprehensive anti-bullying law and I led the charge on the recent education reform law. Last year, as Vice Chair of the House Ethics Committee, I helped write the new ethics reform law. And the legislature has, of course, in these challenging economic times, kept a strong focus on creating jobs.

For my entire career, I have dedicated myself to public service. I have held leadership positions with the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay, the Women’s Lunch Place (a daytime shelter for poor and homeless women), Boston Public Schools, and Jumpstart for Young Children.

I hope you find my website useful. I regularly update the News section with important information about neighborhood issues and State House activities. You will also find information about how to register to vote and where to vote if you live in my district.
