I am honored to serve the people of the 8th Suffolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. In my second term, I am the Vice Chair of the House Ethics Committee and a member of the Education, Judiciary, and Labor & Workforce Development committees. In addition, I am the House Chair of the Caucus of Women Legislators, a bi-partisan, bi-cameral group of female legislators who work to enhance the economic status and equality of women and encourage and support women in all levels of government throughout the Commonwealth. I am delighted to have been re-elected on November 4. My third term in the House will begin on Wednesday, January 7, 2009. By exploring this website, you’ll find useful information about how to register to vote and where to vote if you live in my district. You’ll also be able to sign up to receive my newsletter and, if you click on Contribute, you will find a convenient way to make a donation online.
